Dockside is a superb venue for a wedding celebration.
The view and the deck are fabulous, and we take pride in our food and service.
The setting itself allows a natural flow from pre-dinner drinks to dining and dancing.
Dockside may be used for a combined wedding ceremony and reception, or just as a reception venue.
As we are located right on the water arrival by boat is possible, and makes for great photo opportunities.
We can comfortably accommodate up to 80 guests for a seated dinner, or up to 120 seated guests on our deck and marquee dining area, followed by dancing.
The permanent marquee is versatile and can be opened up completely on summer’s days or closed to ensure a comfortable dining experience in Wellington's unreliable weather conditions.
If you are have in mind a more informal wedding celebration, standing cocktail parties are also a nice idea.
Dockside can cater for up to 500 people offering canapes, finger food and dancing.
We highly recommend you visit Dockside to feel the ambience that can be created for your special day. An appointment can be made to show you around the venue and create a specialised package to cater to your requirements. Our in house wedding coordinator is happy to discuss any ideas you may have.
Below is a very general guide to give you an idea of pricing at Dockside.
The minimum charge for exclusive use of Dockside for a Saturday evening is based on an individual package which incorporates cocktail food, 3 course dinner, beverages, DJ music, crockery & glassware and all staff excluding security.
Wedding packages start at approx $17,000 (Inc GST)
Selected menu and beverage choices will dictate the final package estimate.
If the $17,000 minimum spend is not reached an additional venue hire fee will be added for exclusive use of our venue.
Our in-house coordinator will work closely with you to ensure your budget level is adhered to.
Dockside requires a $500 non-refundable deposit to secure your wedding booking date.
